This month, it’s my turn to share some insights for life on the road–or off-the-grid. I’m Ashley, the project manager at Limitless Van. If you’ve ever called or emailed us, there’s a good chance I’ve been the one on the other end of the line. I love chatting with people about vans. Not only because I work for Limitless Van but also because my husband and I have been enjoying trips in our Ford Transit campervan since 2020. From mountains to deserts, we’ve embraced the freedom of off-grid adventures.

While vanlife is all about minimalism, finding the right gear can make a world of difference. That’s why I’ve compiled a list of our top seven must-have accessories for your van. These products have become staples in our campervan and are sure to enhance your vanlife adventures, whether you're in a Transit, Sprinter, or Promaster.

A reliable trash solution is essential in every van, but dedicating valuable storage space to it can be tricky. After struggling with a seat back trash can that was too small, lidless, and difficult to empty when overstuffed, we discovered the Radius Outfitters Trash Tube. This game-changer checks all the boxes. With its sleek design, it doesn’t scream "trash can," and the easy-open lid keeps everything contained. Plus, if you accidentally overfill it, the bottom zipper allows for hassle-free emptying. We only wish we had discovered it sooner!

This is hands down one of my favorite purchases! I have the Original version, and I love that I can keep it folded up and attached to the hitch while driving, and then set it up in seconds once parked. It even doubles as a convenient step into the back of my van. No trees? No problem! I’ve also found that some campgrounds are now restricting hammocks or anything hanging from trees to prevent damage, so even if trees are available, you might not be able to use them.

This setup can be mounted to either the front or rear hitch of your van and can clear rear tire carriers and other accessories with an extension if needed. For a more budget-friendly option, check out their Bare Bones version, which you can store inside your van and easily assemble once parked.

I've tried tea-bag-style coffee pouches and pour-over pouches (Kuju Bold Awakening is my favorite), but there's something about espresso that just hits different. And sometimes, I don't want to boil an entire pot of water. That's where the OutIn Nano comes in. This compact device brews single-serve espresso using either hot or cold water, thanks to its self-heating function. It’s compatible with Nespresso capsules or your own fine ground coffee. While it produces true espresso shots—not a full cup for leisurely sipping—it’s a much more affordable alternative to expensive coffee shops. Plus, imagine taking this on a hike and enjoying a fresh shot of espresso at the summit!

This versatile duffle is my latest upgrade for van travel. The included packing cubes make packing and organizing a breeze. I love that you can customize the cube sizes to fit your needs—I went with two large, one medium, and two small. Some cubes are even expandable and have a cinched-off divider to separate dirty clothes from clean ones—genius!

The duffle’s interior is lined with velcro, and each cube has a velcro backing, so they stay securely in place and can be rearranged as desired. Plus, since the cubes are removable, they can be attached to Super Pacific’s seatback organizer or any other velcro surface in your van. As a bonus, the duffle’s straps convert for convenient backpack-style carrying.

Even if your van is equipped with a backup or 360-degree camera, the WolfBox G900 is still a helpful tool. It doubles as a dash cam for added security—whether it's car accidents or break-ins—and as a live rearview mirror. With the WolfBox, you can keep your rear window coverings in place and still get a clear view behind you, with camera quality that's superior to many OEM versions. It also features parking assist, GPS, automatic low-light and night adjustments, and a touch screen that lets you toggle between different views—even two at once. The device easily attaches over your existing rearview mirror, and other mounting options are available.

Whether your van is equipped with house AC or not, a secondary fan is a must-have, and the Sirocco II is my top choice. This fan is both quiet and powerful. It makes a perfect companion to a roof-mounted AC by helping to distribute cool air towards the front of your van more efficiently. On days when you prefer to have your doors and windows open, it circulates fresh air beautifully. I previously tried battery-powered and rechargeable clip-on fans, but even with two, they lacked the lasting power and airflow needed in warmer temperatures. Installed near my bed, I find myself using this fan more than the MaxxAir Fan—it’s truly a “game-changer,” as one of our clients recently put it.

These 100% biodegradable body wipes are perfect for a quick refresh after a hike or bike ride, or even for a full “shower” at the end of the day. With only a back washdown shower in my van, these wipes are a lifesaver when the weather is cold or when I’m parked somewhere that doesn’t allow for water to run freely outside. They’re antibacterial, alcohol-free, and formulated with hydrating, all-natural ingredients that are safe for sensitive skin. The wipes are large enough to clean your entire body and leave no residue behind. My go-to scents are coconut and peppermint, and they offer unscented options as well.

Whether you're a seasoned van traveler or just starting your journey, these seven items are sure to make your adventures more comfortable and enjoyable. From staying organized with the Huck Pack Duffle to staying safe with the WolfBox G900, these products have become indispensable in our van. Remember, vanlife is all about finding what works best for you. So experiment, customize, and enjoy the freedom of the open road!
